Here is my current thinking about taking the pictures. These dummy pictures were put into the template "Publisher" files, so the gals in the church office only have to right click on a space and select "change picture" to one from a directory of pictures of the members, then add the family name under it. I have created some template "Publisher" files that have a "dummy"picture (very little content for file size) but they are cropped to 1.875 x 2.3. Counting the space provided for the "Family Name", I ended up with spaces for the pictures that are 1.875 wide x 2.3 inches high. I did a 3 x 3 layout in publisher for the pictures. My end of this project is the layout, creating some template layouts, taking many pictures and then processing them thru PP and placing them in a directory for the gals to use. the history of the church and maybe a surprise or two. More pictures of the Pastor, the trustees, etc. The gals are already starting on this part of the directory. The rest of the directory will be of some pictures taken at various church activities and shots of the church itself. So in effect the directory will be pictures of all the members and then on separate pages in alphabetical order, there will be the family name, phone number, address etc.

This results in 36 pictures to a sheet of paper. The pictures of the members of this church will be 3 across and 3 down with about a 1/2 inch space under each picture for the family name etc. For each sheet of paper, double sided this is 4 panels. We will be using "Legal" size paper with a "book fold", so I did a Publisher layout to see what I am working with. The church office is staffed by a couple of gals that are very good with using Microsoft "Publisher", so the hard typing work is taken care of.

Here is what I have so far for my plan and I certainly can use all the input and tips I might receive from you people, so please read on. (A Xerox laser), a hard cover and stapled in the middle and we all know hiw that hurts. ( I have trouble with the word NO) This is a do-it yourself project that will be printed on the Church office printer. I have been asked to do a Church Directory for the church I attend. I have been taking lots of pictures and currently have been fooling with "framing" thanks to Ben H. Not doing a lot of posting here of late, but you people are the experts, so here I am again.
